“ FAMO was the movement theory I had been looking for. It combines all the great ideas of Pilates and yoga through the lens of the ever evolving science of Fascia.

I believe it is what facilitates long term change in our bodies. It is more than just moving muscles and bones. It is bodywide connectivity. I can’t un-know this, so it comes with me in everything I teach.”

Experience

Pilates Instructor for 10 years. Which has involved working with over 100 clients, including high level athletes to those recovering from joint replacement surgery and those with conditions such as back injuries, Scoliosis, Arthritis, Sciatica and Diastis Recti.

Professional Circus Artist for 20 years.

Learning and teaching circus piqued Tahmour’s curiosity about the way different bodies experience, and learn movement.

Pilates caught her attention after years of constant low-level pain from training and touring circus shows. In Pilates Tahmour found a movement theory that held her together in all the right ways. She could make her rehab interesting, challenging and beneficial.

In FAMO she found the ways to un do the habits of unilateral loading from hula hoops, and injuries, and start to really make the long term changes that see her daily pain free.

 What people are saying

“Tahmour is a very professional Pilates teacher. Her time management skills are excellent and her knowledge of a huge number of exercises using all pilates equipment means that lessons are always varied. She has a great ability to adapt and shape a lesson plan around any personal injuries that happen occasionally from other activities. Tahmour has a delightful humour and encouraging energy.”
