Qualifications:

Level 4 PAA Certified Pilates Instructor.
Studio and Mat Practitioner; Polestar Pilates International.
Cert III  Fitness Instructor.

Experience:

My initial Pilates training was with the University of Technology Sydney in 2004. The profound impact it had on my own body and mind inspired me to dive deeper, and in 2007 I became a certified Studio and Mat Practitioner with Polestar Pilates International.

Witnessing how inclusive and adaptable the Pilates Method is for people of all ages and abilities led me to further study. I completed a Cert IV in Pilates Instruction with Pilates International in 2008, followed by a Cert III in Fitness in 2010 as the method expanded into the wider fitness world.

My curiosity about human movement drew me to practices like Iyengar yoga, the Alexander Technique and the Feldenkrais Method—all of which continue to influence how I teach and support others in their movement journey.

Pilates became especially meaningful during my two pregnancies. It gave me something I could trust and return to and supported a natural recovery after childbirth. I went on to train with the Center for Women’s Fitness in the USA and became a certified pre- and post-natal instructor.

I teach Contemporary Pilates that’s adaptable, inclusive and centred around the whole person. My work is informed by current research into healthy ageing, functional fitness and falls prevention. I’ve also undertaken further training in Parkinson’s, dementia and osteoporosis. Outside the studio, I enjoy yoga, tai chi, jiu jitsu, music, theatre, anthropology – and love spending time with my husband, children, and our six lively pets!
